Handicrafts - 2015 Show - Review
Once again the Handicraft Section proved popular at the 2015 show with around 900 entries across the baking, preserves, children’s, knitting, handicraft, art and photography classes. These entries made for a spectacular display much admired by visitors and judges alike. A full list of trophy winners can be found below.
Visitors to the show love to look at the wonderful handiwork of the very talented entrants. Likewise entrants love to share their hobby with a wider audience than their family and friends. Why not have a go at entering and share your talents – maybe you will be lucky and win a prize.
We have a junior section to encourage those who are 18 years and under to get involved and showcase their talent.
Some of the cookery classes are old favourites but we also try to be topical and up to date. This year we have introduced classes for baking using vegetable(s) and a ‘Great British Bake Off’ style show-stopper.
In the craft section, we have introduced new classes which we hope incorporate many different crafts. Once again we have 2 community group classes to encourage groups to join together to create and display a craft item. This year we have a class for a family exhibit allowing adults and children to work together to produce an entry.
Photography is a popular pastime and there are several classes to spark your imagination - get out and about with your camera.
We look forward to receiving lots of entries. There will undoubtedly be a wonderful display on which the public can feast their eyes as the entrant’s share their creations both edible and non-edible with us all.
Before entering, please ensure you read the schedule thoroughly including the following sections…
- conditions of entry
- guidelines for exhibitors
